- The Pink city offers the best Tourist attractions

Royalty of Jaipur would mesmerize you to explore more of Rajasthan. Let's start the ride of the pink city ( the capital of Rajasthan) located 280 km from Delhi. The ride from Delhi would be around 4 to 5 hours of time to reach Jaipur and the whole highway is well maintained for road travel with lot of eateries & food joints options enroute. It would be better to leave early in the day to beat office traffic from 9 to 11 am in Gurgaon- Delhi expressway. Also the city is well connected via rail ( Shatabdi express is recommended) as well as airport from all major destination in India.

This time round I have chosen Ramada as the property to stay in Jaipur & definitely it was one of the finest places to stay. Swimming pool restaurant on the top floor is a must visit and the aerial view of the Jaipur city from there would be a worth watch.

The first place to start the royal journey of Jaipur is the City Palace. The main gate of the city palace speaks of the architectural beauty of the palace.

The city palace houses the Sawai Man Singh II Museum & is the house of the Jaipur royal family. One needs to have at least 3-4 hours to see the whole palace and the best place to have some photographs with the royal heritage.
There are two time blocks one can use to visit the palace - Day Visit -9.30 to 5 pm & Night Visit - 7pm to 10 pm.
Recommended Mode of Travel in the city is Auto or Tuk Tuk (Battery Operated Rickshaws) as it makes the travel hassle free.

Royal women used these windows to see the city street life , festivals following the rules of ' Pardah'.

Chokhi Dhani a mock village resort nearly 20 km from the Jaipur city center is another vibrant place on the tourist radar to experience the true Rajasthani lifestyle.
