Patna, the capital of Bihar is also known as Patliputra in history. In this sacred city, the tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born(1966). Sri Patna Sahib Gurudwara ( also known as Takhat Sri Harminder Sahib Ji) is located in Patna City and was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. 

Current Shrine was built in the 1950s. Patna Sahib is the place where Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent his early years & it was blessed with the visits of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages for the Sikh community all across the world & is an epicenter of Patna Tourism.

Opening timing is 5 am & extends up to 9 pm till in the evening. There are no entry fees here and one needs to have at least 2-3 hours to enjoy the architectural beauty of the place as well as calmness which would touch your soul.
Don't miss the morning ardaas around 5.45 am or 6 pm in the evening & also one can also volunteer for the Langer services.

One of the major celebrations one should not miss is in December when the Prakash Parv ( Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji) is celebrated in a grandeur manner. Thus make sure to pay a visit to take the blessings from the Top most visited tourist places in Patna.
